Hania joined OHE in October 2022 as junior economist following the completion of her masters in Health Economics and Decision Science at University College London. She holds a BSc in International Health from Georgetown University. Hania has previous experience in qualitative and quantitative public health research and has worked on a range of topics in various settings, including tobacco control policy in low- and middle- income countries and the EU, female genital mutilation across Africa and adolescent sexual and reproductive health in Egypt. Her masters thesis explored the socioeconomic and demographic determinants of the double burden of malnutrition among mother-child pairs in Nigeria.
