Franz Pichler
Franz Pichler, PhD, is Principal and Founder of Confluence Health Consulting, a firm that specializes in pharmaceutical external affairs. Franz received his PhD in Genetics from the University of Auckland and worked for 10 years in applied functional genomics before transitioning to pharmaceutical policy. He established the HTA programme at the Centre of Innovation in Regulatory Science and spent nine years in the Global Public Policy team at Eli Lilly, working in Europe, Japan and China. He is also a senior research fellow at the School of Pharmacy, University of Sydney, where he is a chief investigator on a project aiming to establish a national horizon scanning function for Australia.
