Matthew Napier

Matthew is a health economist specialising in economic evaluation, health policy, and medicine shortages.  

He graduated from the University of Birmingham with a distinction in MSc health economics and health policy. In November 2022, following an internship at Takeda UK as a health economics intern, where he undertook his dissertation project, he joined OHE. 

He has broad research experiences, including research into the socioeconomic burden of disease, the causes and consequences of medicine shortages, early economic evaluation, innovative payment methods, critical health policy issues, and the evaluation of ATMPs. He is a member of the value, affordability, and decision-making research theme at OHE.
