Patricia Cubi-Molla

Patricia is a mathematician and a health economist, with expertise in the use of patient-reported outcome measures in decision-making. Her primary interests include health and wellbeing impact assessment, efficient resource allocation in public sectors, and valuation of health outcomes. Patricia holds a position as Honorary Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Economics at City, University of London. She has more than 20 peer-reviewed publications in top health economics journals.

For example, she contributed to a discussion on alternative interpretations of cost-effectiveness thresholds in health technology appraisals and a list of recommendations to decision-makers. She is also leading research on the allocation of public sector spending, addressing comparisons of value for money between spending in different government departments, and developing a new, pragmatic approach to inform decisions. Patricia is also collaborating in a project for The Health Foundation that seeks to develop a new instrument to measure the valued output of primary care in England.
