Patricia Cubi-Molla
Dr Patricia Cubi-Molla, PhD, Senior Principal Economist at the Office of Health Economics (OHE), specialising in health economics, value assessment, and healthcare decision-making. She leads OHE’s research theme on Value, Affordability, and Decision-Making and is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Economics at City St George’s , University of London. With academic training in mathematics and quantitative economics, her expertise covers patient-reported outcomes, health and wellbeing impact assessment, and the valuation of health outcomes.
Patricia’s early work focused on quantifiying health outcomes, where she led OHE’s programme, Measuring and Valuing Outcomes. Her research now expends to value frameworks, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), and public-sector resource allocation, including efficiency, inequalities, and priority-setting. She has examined global developments in HTA methods and contributed to studies on decision-making for innovative health technologies, oncology, primary care, climate action, and wider public spending.
She has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications in leading health economics journals and serves as an Associate Editor for Applied Health Economics and Health Policy. Before joining OHE, Patricia was a Lecturer in Economics at City St George’s , University of London. She holds a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc and PhD in Quantitative Economics from the University of Alicante.
