Shaheer Hassan

Shaheer joined OHE in September 2025 as an Economist. He holds a BHSc degree in Integrated Biomedical Engineering from McMaster University and an MSc in Health Policy, Planning & Financing, a joint programme from the London School of Economics and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

Shaheer is a skilled health economist with experience in market access strategy, health economic modelling, and developing evidence-based approaches to improve HTA access. He has contributed to market access strategies for innovative oncology therapies, facilitated stakeholder engagement with key opinion leaders and payers, developed health economic models, and collaborated on medical device innovation in interventional cardiology. Additionally, he has worked as a research assistant in the Department of Health Policy at the London School of Economics conducting an exploratory review of anti-microbial resistance considerations in vaccine cost-effectiveness studies and health technology assessment. This research also formed the basis of his MSc dissertation.
