Bruce Hollingsworth
I am Professor of Health Economics and am Director of the Health Economics at Lancaster group. I am a Founding Fellow of the Royal Economic Society. Research and international collaborative publications are principally in the area of efficiency measurement with respect to the production of health and health care, social determinants of health, and the translation of research into practice.
In addition, I am investigator on a number of current large grants (£20m), and have over 150 publications, principally in the area of efficiency measurement with respect to the production of health and health care, social determinants of health, and the translation of research into practice. T
I am a Senior Editor of the journal Health Economics and have been an adviser to many Government bodies and NGOs including the World Health Organisation (WHO) (including being a Taskforce member), the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, and the health economist on one of the Gates Foundation International Advisory Committees. I am currently on the Board of Directors of the European Health Economics Association (EuHEA). I serve on the International Health Economics Association (iHEA) Arrow Award Committee, which awards the annual award for the best paper internationally in health economics, and have recently been appointed a Lancet Commissioner on Health Systems.
