Angela Kairu

Angela Kairu is a PhD Fellow in the Health Economics Research Unit at KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme Nairobi, Kenya. She has previously served as a medical doctor in Kenya. Angela holds a Master of Public Health – Health Economics from University of Cape Town in South Africa. Her expertise and research interests include economic evaluation, health technology assessment, health financing and health systems strengthening. She is currently working on an economic evaluation for a caregiver intervention for developmental disabilities, and health technology assessment (HTA) in Kenya. Her broad work interests are in improving resource allocation and health system functions through evidenced based health financing strategies.
