Composed of academics and thought leaders from within and outside the UK, OHE’s Editorial Board has provided advice and guidance to the OHE's peer-reviewed publications programme since the 1960s. OHE is delighted to announce the appointment of Mike Herdman as Head of Health Outcomes, a new position at OHE. Mike brings with him extensive experience in psychometrics and in the development and validation of quality of life instruments.
OHE is pleased to announce that biostatistician Dr Fraser Lewis has joined the team as Head of Statistics, leading our statistical research, consultancy and advisory activities. Fraser's principal areas of expertise are in statistical modelling of data from biomedical studies. His particular interests include methods of analyzing data from observational studies and graphical multivariate modelling
OHE’s Director, Professor Adrian Towse, has been elected President of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) for the 2014–15 term and will serve on the ISPOR Board of Directors as President-elect during 2013-14.

Professor George Teeling Smith OBE, who set up the Office of Health Economics in 1962 and served as its Director for three decades, died unexpectedly on 28 January 2013. OHE would not exist but for George, nor would it have thrived for 50 years without his foresight in establishing OHE with the Policy Board and Editorial Board arrangement.
