On Wednesday 21st September, Professor Philip Clarke from the University of Melbourne will lead an OHE Lunchtime Seminar on the topic of: Health Economic Evaluation throughout the Ages.

OHE is pleased to be working with four MSc students this year. The students, from City University and the London School of Economics, will spend three months at OHE being supervised and trained by various members of the OHE team whilst completing their MSc theses.

OHE is pleased to announce that Dr Francois Maignen has joined the team as Head of Operational Research and Data Analysis. Francois’s principal areas of expertise are in the clinical development (methodology of clinical trials) and regulation of medicines for human use.

This OHE Seminar Briefing summarises a seminar given by Professor Luigi Siciliani on waiting time policies in the health sector from an international perspective, and highlights which policies have worked well in the last decade in OECD countries. Professor Siciliani also touches on methods for comparing waiting times internationally and where the UK stands in the international figures. Finally, the Briefing discusses waiting time inequality by socioeconomic status.
