Welcome to the Office of Health Economics "Knowledge Centre" where you can obtain useful information about health economics/public policy free of charge.
There are 5 sections to this part of the site:
- Thought Pieces – Articles that may be of interest to you written by OHE team members in all its areas of expertise ie pharma, biotech, healthcare, HTA, Health Systems.
- Free Downloads – Here is an archive of over 40 years of OHE research publications on topics covering Health Economics, Public Policy, Disease booklets. Many are available to download free of charge and more will become available over the coming months.
- Newsletters – Contains our current "OHE Newsletters" which are obtainable free of charge when you register with the Knowledge Centre.
- OHE Schools - The OHE Schools section is aimed at post-16 students of economic courses, although it contains much that should also be of interest to anyone wishing to understand the basic principles of health care economics.
- Links – This contains links to websites that we feel may be of interest to you.
Payment By Results
This is the final of a series of newsletters whose purpose is to report on progress with the national evaluation of the impact and operation of "Payment by Results" in the NHS in England.
This Department of Health sponsored research is being undertaken by the Health Economics Research Unit of the University of Aberdeen, supported by the Office of Health Economics (London) and the University of Dundee. The project runs from December 2004 to the summer of 2007.
